We have much to be thankful for

Mālama ʻAina, Mālama Kanaka

Punahoa, Hawaii - Mahalo ke Akua, we give thanks to all that is around us, especially the majesty of the forest. Pictured here - was one of the latest huakaʻi up mauka to the kaʻulu laʻau (hiking trip to the forest) - December.

We celebrate 2023 - some highlights include:

  1. Completion of an aerial survey covering over 2000 acres of our mauka lands

  2. Furthering the partnership with Hawaii County, through the Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commission, as well as with the Hawaii Forest Stewardship Program of the Dept. of Land and Natural Resources

  3. Nurturing and strengthening our community partnerships with the UCC, TNC, SCHCC, Town & Country Surf Design, Hula Hālau Kilipohe Nā Lei Lehua, and Nā Pualei o Likolehua, and many others, and sharing experiences and huakai up mauka to witness the beauty of the forest.

We look forward to a full and productive 2024 and will focus on completing a forest stewardship management plan by quarter 1, and putting our efforts toward implementing various aspects of that plan for the remaining quarters of the year. A ola Punahoa!
